Far and away the most popular post ever, It looks like many of you have “sticks in the mud”. If you’re reading this thinking about the curse of your black thumb, be prepared to see it turn a shade of green if you follow these steps – water is key!
I should also add an UPDATE to this post. I could learn how to repot and fertilize these pretty little things, but lately I haven’t had the time and was pleasantly surprised when my local flower shop told me that they do this.
For a very reasonable $7 per orchid, they revived some of my oldest orchids by cutting the dead roots, fertilizing them and repotting them in homes where they are SO much happier. It’s worth a shot to ask around your neighborhood floral shops if they offer this service 🙂
